John L. Scott – Managing Director
John L. Scott is the founder of 401(k) Advisors – Arizona. John has been an active influencer in the financial services industry for more than 30 years, and is highly involved in the continued work on the strategy and direction of our company.
401(k) Wire named John one of the nation’s Top Forty Advisors and Most Influential Advisors in Defined Contribution. He is also a Founding Lecturer of The Retirement Advisor University™ at UCLA Anderson School of Management Executive Education and is an Executive Member of the BrightScope Advisory Council.
John is active in a number of charities including Junior Golf of Arizona, the Fiesta Bowl Million Dollar Hole-in-One charitable event, and has been involved for fifteen years with Scottsdale Leadership, a nonprofit dedicated to educating future community leaders. He is a highly sought-after moderator and panelist for industry sponsored programs dealing with all aspects of retirement plan advisement, from fiduciary responsibilities to industry best practices.
Scott Pilchard – Senior Vice President
Scott Pilchard joined the 401(k) Advisors – Arizona team as Senior Vice President and brings his expertise and consultative approach to the firm’s clients, helping retirement plan sponsors navigate their fiduciary responsibilities and guiding individual plan participants toward a more successful and rewarding experience saving for retirement.
Scott began his career in 1991 as an independent financial advisor in Sacramento, California. It was there that he developed his passion for providing objective financial advice to retirement plan sponsors and their plan participants. In 2001 he joined Manning & Napier Advisors, a publicly-traded Registered Investment Advisor, as their west coast Regional Advisory Consultant supporting advisors in their efforts with individual, institutional, and retirement plan investors.
Scott and Allison, his wife of 31 years, are kept quite busy with four adult daughters and three grandchildren. He stays active riding horses, water skiing, playing golf and hiking, and he and Allison are known for hosting the annual Pilchards’ Pig Roast at their home in Carefree, Arizona.
Gina Cizek – Client Services Manager, CFP®, AIF
As the 401(k) Client Services Manager, Gina Cizek is responsible for overseeing our firm’s ongoing consulting and client service delivery. She understands plan sponsor concerns and works to address all aspects of fiduciary responsibility.
Gina began her retirement plan career working with 401(k) plan participants at ING Financial Services, and then spent eight years in asset retention working with participants who had left their employers, educating them on their options for their retirement savings. Before joining 401(k) Advisors – Arizona, Gina worked as a retirement plan advisor at another local advisory firm. In her role there, Gina provided investment reviews, fiduciary training and guidance, participant education and advice, fee and benchmarking studies and general plan support.
To enhance her knowledge of financial services, Gina completed her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNING™ designation in 2003 and her Accredited Investment Fiduciary™ designation in 2007. She received her bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University and a master’s degree from a joint program of Cornell University and Baruch College in NYC.
